Hi All
Firstly, thank you all so much for being part of the team for Next Sunday’s Cotswold Classic Triathlon. The race simply couldn’t happen without you all, so thank you so much
On the following link, you will find the final marshal roster with maps and instructions (you’ll probably need to open this spreadsheet on a desktop or lap top as it has various tabs)
On the first tab, you will see a list of names, and each name is coloured – Green is Bike, Orange is Run and Blue is transition area, massage etc
If you check the colour against your name, and then the corresponding tab, you will see a map and a matrix against each marshal post or role, and from there you can see your role for the day.
When you arrive on Sunday, please head to the Marshals car park, which is as per the following map :
The postcode for the lake is GL76DF and it’s called Lake 32 on Spratsgate lane – The what3words location of the marshal parking is ///typed.format.level
If you are camping overnight on Saturday, this car parking field is for camping too.
All we ask for camping, and the same for when you arrive to park on Sunday, is please camp/park right next to the vehicle next to you as we very quickly run out of space for marshals to park of people decide they want to spread out
Camping against the far end (Southern end) of the field
Each shift starts with a sign on and briefing in the race HQ tent, which is next to the cafe by the swim start. The sign in times are as follows :
Transition team – 04:30
Bike Team – 05:45
Run Team – 07:45
Everyone must first sign in please, and from there you can grab a marshal shirt, an info pack/map, a high vis if required and a packed lunch. Each sign in will also have a briefing led by the course managers at the above sign in time where they’ll take you through everything you need to know and answer any questions. They’ll also allocate roles to the floating names we have against the bike and run teams too.
For the bike and run course teams, the course managers will be around after the last cyclist and runner to let you know when you’ve finished.
After your shifts, please head back to the same HQ tent and sign out, and you can then select either the £20 cash payment or opt for a £50 113 Events voucher
Finally, if anyone fancies doubling or tripling up there shifts, we could do with a couple more strong people to help with teardown at around 14:30-15:00 after the last finisher, and also a couple more heads for early shift car parking that would suit anyone on the run team from 04:30-06:30 helping direct cars in the car park.
if you’re interested in either/both extra shifts, let me know and we’ll gladly add extra paid shifts for you
We’re looking forward to seeing you all next weekend, and thanks again for helping make the race possible
Cheers
Graeme
